Equine Coaching Lesson Booking Agreement
This agreement applies to all coaching sessions booked with
Sacha Hughes Equine Coach
BSc (Hons) Equine Science
BHS Accredited Professional Coach (APC)
Level 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship
1. Booking & Payment
Lessons must be booked in advance and are confirmed upon payment.
Payment is due at the time of booking
Travel fees may apply depending on location and will be agreed in advance.
2. Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24/48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Late cancellations within 24 hours will be charged in full. 48 hours 50%
Missed sessions (no-shows) are non-refundable.
3. Weather & Travel
As a travelling coach, I will attend your yard at the agreed time.
Lessons may be rescheduled in the event of severe/unsafe weather or travel conditions.
If I am delayed due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances, I will inform you as soon as possible.
4. Rider Responsibility
Riders must wear appropriate clothing, including a correctly fitted riding hat and suitable footwear. Hat must be PAS 015 (2011), VG1 01.040, or Snell E2016/E2021—and feature a kitemark or SEI mark and be professionally fitted. A body protector is highly recommended, compulsory for crossc ountry riding where fences are fixed.
Riders participate at their own risk.
You agree to follow all coaching instructions given during the session.
5. Nervous Rider Coaching
I provide a supportive and non-judgemental environment.
However, you remain responsible for your own decisions while handling or riding your horse.
You agree to communicate honestly about your confidence levels so sessions can be adapted safely.
6. Horse & Equipment
Horses must be fit, sound, and suitable for the lesson.
Tack and equipment must be safe and in good working condition.
I reserve the right to stop a session if I believe there is a risk to horse or rider.
7. Yard Safety
The client is responsible for providing a safe and suitable environment to work in.
This includes safe footing, secure fencing, and minimising hazards or distractions.
8. Liability
Horse riding and handling are high-risk activities.
I accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to persons, horses, or property, except where required by law.
Clients are advised to have appropriate insurance.
9. Safeguarding (Under 18s)
Riders under 18 must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times.
The supervising adult remains responsible for the rider.
10. Agreement
By booking a session, you confirm that:
You have read and agree to these terms
You understand the risks involved in equine activities
You accept responsibility for your own safety and your horse
